Guided by a desire to bring intellectual depth to electronic music, Ohm Hourani constantly pushes the boundaries of his sonic research.

His work sits at the intersection of experimental studio practice and a nuanced exploration of the relationship between technology and sound.

Through his label Anoma, he releases minimal, distinctive music marked by subtle jazz undertones. His debut album Jazz of the Machine (2019), supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, weaves modular synthesizers, drum machines, live instrumentation, and vocals into a carefully crafted and organic soundscape.

Equally compelling as a live performer and DJ, Hourani has appeared at MUTEK Montreal, the Montreux Jazz Festival Japan, and in respected clubs across Berlin, Paris, and New York, captivating forward-thinking audiences with an approach that is both playful and intellectually curious.
