After sharing numerous stages in Switzerland, Venezuelan born Giorgio Maulini and Swiss James Mc Hale knew it’s time to join the force and form GIVEN.
Underground Town label owner Giorgio is known for his vinyl only sets as well as for running successful event series in Switzerland bringing some of the freshest acts from the minimal-house music scene. With multiple releases under his belt on labels such as Fantastic Friends Rec, Mood 24, Low Groove Records, Soul Division, and his own Underground Town, to name a few, Giorgio has been fast caughting the industry’s attention.
James Mc Hale is an artist that does not just stick exclusively to the underground sphere. From an early age, he began his music journey through Jazz and slowly mounted into the electronic scene. Having knowledge through learning of another genre outside the electronic circle can only mean enriching one’s skill and ability, both as a DJ and a producer. Known for bringing his personality out via music, James became the resident of Sunday Breakfast parties in Zurich followed by playing weekly at the best clubs all around Switzerland. He has since then been playing some of the most talked about international events and venues such as Sunwaves, Amnesia Ibiza, Sankeys Ibiza and Sonar OFF Week.
In 2018, James and Giorgio as resident DJs of MDRNTY delivered one of the most talked about b2b sets of Caprices Festival, where both created an unbelievable atmosphere and had the entire Swiss Alps bouncing as a dynamic duo. From then on GIVEN was born.
