Guillaume and The Coutu Dumonts ( LCC source)

Our focus this month is on our dear Guillaume or, as he goes by for most, Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts. But this guy’s got much more than a knack for making his last name sound pretty awesome. In fact, so talented is the Montrealite that hard-hitting names like Circus Company, Musique RisqueeOslo, and even Watergate have struck up long, fruitful relationships with him -some people just know not to let a good thing go, no?-.

Since calling Berlin home in 2007 and constantly reminding the world of his soulful, organic inclinations by way of his colorful live sets, Guillaume has churned out an astounding amount of music and criss-crossed the globe to return once and again to his family and his beloved studio, where he’s been working on yet more material for Circus Company and Shimmy Sham Sham as well as for Musique Risquee with partner-in-crime Vincent Lemieux -as Flabbergast-; with Ernesto Ferreyra for a Chic Miniature release, and with his bandmates for an exciting Side Effects album. Oh, and lest we forget all his toiling away for Museum‘s album, an ambient project alongside Gabriel Coutu Dumont and Frederic Aubourg that is finally about to see the light of day. See what we mean? Lots going on.

Read on to see why you, too, could strike up a friendship with one of LCC‘s most prolific artists.
